Certified Laboratories

All laboratory testing is conducted using SAMSHA Certifed Laboratories. These certified laboratories conduct the analysis of urine samples collected under the federally mandated guidelines of DOT. 

Medical Review Officer (MRO) Services

This is a requirement for all federally mandated DOT drug tests. We recommend having an MRO review all positive test results when conducting Non-DOT tests also. An MRO acts as an independent and impartial “gatekeeper” and advocate for the accuracy and integrity of the drug testing process. They report all results to the company DER and determine if there is a legimate medical explanation for any positive results.

Substance Abuse Professional Referrals (SAP)

• A SAP is a person who makes face to face assessment and evaluation of an employee who has violated a DOT drug and/or alcohol program regulation. Their recommendation may include education, treatment, additional counseling and follow up testing. A SAP must order the “return to duty” test before an employee may perform safety senstive duties.
